Blood Donation Campaign & Health Camp
The above was held at the school premises on 1st February 2009 in line with the Centenary Programme. The chief guests for this occasion were distinguish Old Boys, Dr. Ananda Gunasekara, Director - Blood Bank, General Hostital, Colombo & Dr. Mangala Dissanayake - Gynecologist of Kethumathie Maternity Hospital, Panadura. For the health camp several old boy Doctors provided their services free and also drugs were also provided free of charge to all who were examined for various illnesses. This occasion was also graced by Mr. Somatilake, the Principal, teachers, present & past students. The days events were commenced after offering homages to Buddha and hoisting the National, Buddhist & School flags. Lot of people in and around Panadura area were benefited by the health camp & the blood donation campaign which lasted till late afternoon. It could be concluded the event as a success with over 200 patients being treated for various illnesses and with over 75 persons donating blood.
